Questions about putting the OEM air box back on (Pic inside)

Hello,

So I bought my truck and it had an K&N Intake in it. I can't take the drone it gives off all the time (Especially when I tow) so I have taken it out and I almost have the OEM air box in but when I go to fit the OEM air box on the throttle body it is very loose and wont fit snug. I feel I'm missing a gasket or somthing?

It sounds like a dumb questions but this thing was in the truck when I bought it so I don't have any references to follow. Can anyone help...

First off...there are NO 'dumb' questions !!!....LOL It looks like you are missing the big rubber o-ring type seal that goes on the air box....look on the K&N tubing you took off to see if it was used on that. The rubber ring makes an air tight seal with the throttle body. I think it is item #2 in the picture: http://www.tascaparts.com/partlocato...layCatalogid=0

Yea, the gasket is probably still stuck on your K&N.

I too just took of my K&N CAI because of the drone. The Gotts mod is much, much better anyway.

Yeah looks like you're missing the rubber coupling.

I didn't want an entire intake so I opted for an Airaid MIT. Cleans up the engine bay better than the ugly stock intake, and no drone.

Yeah not much room back there. Does the boot fit on everything, throttle body and airbox?

you'd better return the tune to stock as well or else you may end up running rich once you get it back on the road...

That might be the one for an 04, but my 07 is different than that.
