Want to run mid 14's at the drag strip in my 07 sport f-150 on just bolt ons

i want to run mid 14's at the drag strip with only bolt ons....i went last year and ran a 16.4 in the quarter......here is my current set up and am willing to change it all up..........i have the air-aid cold air intake, i have air raid throttle body spacer, the edge evolution programmer, and an exhaust....dont member brand of muffler, i think its got the stock 3:55 gear ratio in the rear and i was running my stock 20inch wheels with 275/55/r20 pirreli tires and yes it is a 2wd sport edition with the 5 1/2 ft bed.........what do you guys suggest i do and i dont want to run a supercharger, turbo, or nitrous

superchargers are just bolt ons...

you've got some killer mods there, might want to put the truck back to stock and start over...

I bet gears would make a big difference. Not sure they count as bolt on though lol. Maybe getting the edge turned into a gryphon and some custom tunes? It would be a start...

Without an SC, I think you need to lower your aspirations.

Gears would probably be the most bank for your buck at this point, but 14's is probably gonna need NOS or forced-induction of one form or another. 4.11's would definitely add some punch over the 3.55's.

Do you have a 4.6? 16.4 is slow with all those mods and 2wd. I ran a 15.9 in a 4x4 6.5ft screw. Theres always nitrous or supercharger.

Not going to get you in the 14's but going ahead and updating your edge to a gryphon and getting customs tunes is a no brainer. At least with custom tunes you can take advantage of what mods you already have, the caned tunes in the evo are not doing that. Its better for the health of your truck. Not to mention if you ever do regear and S/C which will make a hell of a difference you can use your programmer to do some additional tunning/monitoring.

Check out the tunners/programmers section of the forum. I think 88Racing has several links to tunners, inlucing PHP, Troyer, vmp. Do a quick search for him and look in his signature.

See here for edge upgrade: http://www.gopowerhungry.com/_upgrades.shtml

I'm surprised that nobody said anything about the TBS. They don't work on our trucks, take it off and start from there.

Longtube headers
Full exhaust
Gears
Custom tuned programmer
Get rid of the TBS unless you want to be made fun of.

If that doesn't get you close to your goal, forced induction.
