The #1 thing you need to do to that truck before you mess with anything else is a converter. I can't believe it hasn't been suggested yet. That will be the single largest ET gain of any part you'll ever put on auto tranny car/truck short of forced induction.

After that, I'd drop the gears down to a 4.10, buy a set of 16 or 17" wheels (smallest you can fit over your brakes) and put a good Mickey Thompson ET street on it.

Take ALL your other mods off and go run it like that. Come back and report that you damn near made your goal already and ask what to do next. All the power in the world won't do you a bit of good if you can't put it to the pavement and that required a sticky tire, a good deep gear to overcome your lack of power, and a converter to launch you in the meat of the power band.

I've probably made well over 10,000 drag strip passes from 8.90's at 154 to mid 17's at 75 lmao. I've got a "bit" of experience at this game, built them for a living for a bit too. The most important part of a drag race takes place in the first 60ft and the three mods I listed cover that so start there.

ETA: scratch that, 1 person did in fact suggest the stall, at least someone else is paying attention

Well a little update for everyone.....I have since changed up my set up.....went to the drag strip and had a great day......I cut a total second of my time from last year.....I did change my set up this time....here were my new mods......pacesetter long tube headers with a full 3 inch single exhaust with deleted cats, air force one 3.5 inch CAI, Troyer performance electric fans and a custom tune from amazon tuning solutions, same 3.55 gears, and ran my dads stock 17 inch rims and tires and took out my spare tire.....I was running 15.5s all day long.....now I think with a 80mm bbk throttle body, Troyer performance under drive pullies and some ford racing 4.10 gears and also some more tuning I think I can get the truck into the high 14's...then next year comes the blower wether it be a saleen or whipple.....so I think I'm well on my way

He does have a fairly aggressive tune as the 2-3 shift isn't until almost 6k RPM.

Do you know specifically what he has done to this vehicle?!
