Just a suggestion, but I have my front plate held on behind the lower grille with zip-ties. That's basically free, and I've never had any problems with it.
It's been that way for 2+ years so far...

Just my $0.02.

in the state of WI, that is not considered proper mounting of the front tag. This coming from the guy who doesn't have a front plate on my truck, and I won't until i get a ticket for it

LTHL VNM .... Is that an aftermarket spoiler or something under your bumper there where the light reflects? If so, not sure the stock plastic mount will work. If you are sure the stock mount will work on yours, I think mine is hanging on a wall downstairs.

Actually .... none of the mount.

What I did though was just take a sheet of 1/8" aluminum and scribe a rectangle the same size as my issued DMV plates. I rounded the corners to match and drilled the 4 tag mounting holes with a 1/4" bit after carefuly marking them with a scribe and punch.

Then I held the plate up to the bumper where I'ld be able to reach the 1/4-20 nylock nuts I planned to use on the stainless mount screws and looked to see where I would drill holes to mount the plate securely.

I actually used three stainless steel flat head counter sunk screws to mount the plate to the bumper with three holes in a line about an inch below the top screws. I very meticulously measured and marked and punched centers for the three screws, and mounted the plate using some rubber sheet from an innertube between it and the bumper.

I then drilled the top two tag holes through the bumper too, then mounted the plate and cover with stainless screws and nylock nuts at each corner.

All holes in my bumper were painted with clear enamel before screws were used and then I put a dab of clear silicone on back side before nuts and washers. No rust.

The 1/8" thick plate is slightly curved with the bumper and VERY stiff, the truck will likely always be in a two tag state so the holes don't bother me at all.

it will fit, 100% sure. we pulled one off my friend's F150 to test fit it
if you'd like to make a few bucks off of yours then let me know, i've got paypal money ready
what you're seeing that looks like a spoiler is just the factory front bumper of an FX2, nothing exterior is aftermarket.....maybe the leveling kit makes the front look different than most FX2's

OK, I just went down stairs and now have it here in front of me, you recently looked at one. There are two bigger hooks like on top, then underneath the bumper are two thinner like tabes .... know what I'm talking about?

These lower tabs sandwich between that lower piece and the bumper. I loosened screws to remove it. I didn't know untril removing it that one tab has a tear .... but it works.

If you were here I'ld probably give it to you.

Well, my bracket was working perfect but I removed it because there are two tabs that hold the bottom of the plate that wouldn't let me put a cover on it.

Glad it got there ..... wish I had recalled still having it the first time you mentioned it. Sorry, but glad we got her done 'in time".
