2005 with bad injectors

I've got an '05 and it just put out the p0175 code. Just starting to investigate the bad injector scenario, is there anyway to visually identify the bad injectors?

THanks

I believe it's general because all the 05 5.4's are covered.

Since there was a chance the truck would be covered under the emisssions warranty, or the injector warranty, I went ahead and took it to the dealer. It was a bad injector:'05 Supercrew 4x4 5.4, 18,300 miles. No charge for the work, so I'm happy.

I thought the letter said "certain" 2005's because the supplier changed mid-year?

I doubt the dealer would bother to check that though.

Only one way to find out for certain if you haven't already blown up, call your dealer service department and provide them your vin.

exactly...they can tell you right over the phone. Mine just had #7 fail and now a cat went out. As soon as they throw a code take the truck in before it fails.

I had #4 replaced on my '05 (build date jan of '05), got me worried that another may go out in the middle of nowhere where we often go. I bought another 7 and replaced them as well. It was supper easy to do and gives me a little peace of mind. Now is a good time to replace the fuel filter as well. I also own a low mileage truck and the 7 year extended warranty is only a year from ending.

It has been argued over and over on this site and others that Ford should replace all 8 if one goes out, but it is their choice to make...

What was the part number you used for the replacements?

The most recent part number I have is 5C3Z-9F593-DC. After all these threads recently, I am placing my order later tonight.

I don't remember, I bought them online. They were supposed to be the OEM supplier...
