Changing all my fluids tomorrow and need some help.....

2004 F150 5.4L FX4 Supercab with the 6' bed; 85k miles.......I've owned it since 28k miles and haven't changed any fluids but the oil, berrate me later..........

I called two seperate Ford dealers (service departments) and no help.

Searched on here.........didn't find what I was looking for.

Here's the MAJOR question I have, and it's a two parter:

For the rear axle there are three different sizes:

8.8/9.75
10.25

1. How do I know which I have?

2. The owners manual that came with my truck says that all listed use the same 75W-90; yet Mitchell On Demand states that the 10.25 uses the 75W-90; but that the 8.8/9.75 uses 75W-140..........hmmm?

And do I have Traction-Lok axles or no? 'Cause if I do I need to use a friction modifier when I refill it........

Also; I can't find an interval on changing the front diff fluids?

I'm also wondering if there are any specific things I need to do OTHER than 'just' change the fluids; as I can't find a Haynes manual in any store (prolly gonna have to order it online). And by asking that I mean that changing tranny fluid is pretty damn easy; pull the plug, drain it, put plug back in, pull filler plug, fill it, put plug back in..........but what about the transfer case and diffs? Same simple procedure?

I truly appreciate any and all help!

Haha. Just to answer the rear sizes, 4.6 = 8.8, 5.4 = 9.75, SD = 10.25. Best of luck.
