So heres the story... im stationed up here in fairbanks ak and i do not have a garage.. i went to pop the hood and it wont open becuase of the sub zero temps.. (-30) is there any way i can open it besides parking it someone elses garge for a few hours and once i do get it open can i put anything on the cable for it not to do what its doing

 

you are probably going to need to find a warm garage.

Then spray down the cables and mechanisms with a good coat of WD-40 to keep the moisture out
