Ended up with a little problem on that first assembly. I've been testing everything through every step. No problems. Even drove them last night for 30 min or so, Everything was great. But as soon As I put rtv on the Hi-low sol to hold on my cover, I somehow shorted out that coil. Thankfully I took it out to the truck for one more test before I sealed the lense. Melted my factory hi-low wires. (25gage) So, I'll have to find another way to attach my covers on assembly two. I'll call TRS tomarrow and hopefully they have another sol in stock. But before I start on the other assembly, I get to spend the next hour cleaning off sealant. Such Fun!!

Well, Made some progress. I now have one assembly finished. All this appears to be temporary however. I found out my lenses for the housings are junk. Apparently, Ford puts a hard coat over the plastic, and its falling off. So later in the year I'll be buying new housings and moving everything over. That will give me time to design a better mounting method. I ended up cracking this reflector at a point where I added a screw to tighten the Solinoid cover. So much stress is there That I can't even pull the two halves back together. Just visual though, no functional loss. I'll get my new solinoid on Thursday and be done by Sunday. I hope. Apparently, the RTV put stress on the ultra fine coil wires and broke one. Here is a pic of the completed assembly......

All done. Looking very nice. Could be a little brighter. I'll have to talk to Matt tomarrow at TRS and see if Thses will hold up to 50 watt or not. but so far, very happy.

Not bad at all. how much would a retro-fit cost? I haven't seen zkw lenses go for that low of a price unless you are paying for 1 lens or its not the clear zkw lens from a canadian 330ix.

Your retrofit looks great scott!
Get some night time cutoff pics now!
Sorry to hear about your issues with the housings and the lenses.
You can polish the lenses out and try to get that "film" off then have a local body shop clear coat them. Your reflector bowl looks very dark, what color is the housings on those TLs? My lights are still very chrome and bright looking with the FX-Rs

Its any alum color. The projector is just so damn big there is alot that the shroud doesn't cover.
