hey guys i have 91,000 miles on my truck and im getting ready to change the factory plugs which plugs would yall recommend me running. The performance mods are listed below in my sig.

well im leaning towards brisk plugs just wanted to hear what others have to say about brisk

 

I tend to stick to OEM/Motorcraft parts when possible, especially when it relates to the engine.

 

i understand but mymotor isnt stock either lol

 

Stock M/C plugs work best no matter the mods.

 

That's only a 20k plug.....it has the silver electrode that wears out faster than the oem which are platinum.....

Brisk is a good choice - you *may* need a colder plug (or just use the one they specifiy for stock/light mods) - it's one piece and if you don't mind R&R every 20K or so - go for it.

Otherwise - OEM. But R&R those more frequently than the retarded 100K interval as well.

I don't mind the 20k change intervals because its more of a weekend warrior anyways this year I've only put 5k on it.

 

I just put the new E3 Diamond fire plugs in mine, e3.70 for the 5.4. I will never put the two piece plugs in it again, what a PIA to remove them. I just did this over the weekend, but I can tell the idle is smoother.

 

Just FYI, someone posted last week that those had failed. Had some pictures. I think it was an earlier engine, not the 3v. I would look for the thread but don't have time right now. Keep an eye on them.

 

Did a quick search (I don't have lot of time either) and didn't find anything, would be interesting to know how they failed, LMK if you find it. Who ever came up with the two piece MC plug was a IDIOT.

I think that was from the V6 Forum, don't remember the picture though. In another thread the OP said thee top came off ?????? I think he meant that screw-on cap came off not knowing that some of these plugs have a removable top (cap). I have had the E3's in for 2 to 3K miles and not any problems at all as of yet. One piece is the best part !!!
