Okay so i have been digging deep into this. I am super excited i cant lie. My gf is getting her mustang here soon so expect some shots of a lifted f-150 and a white 2011 mustang!


A few facts, my truck measures 39" in the rear and 38" in the front. I currently have a 2.5" leveling kit. If someone could measure from the ground to top of the fender well in the front on a stock 2wd i would appreciate it. But lets say it did give me 2" of lift. thats 36" in the front and 39" in the rear. with a 7" lfit 43" in the front plus 1.5" in tires is 44.5" in the front. 2" block in the rear would give me 41" plus the 1.5" in tires so thats, 42.5". Overall with a 7" lift and a 2" block i would sit at 44.5" and 42.5". 2" bull dogged. Not bad imo. I know these numbers are more or less guesstimates but they add up, i think lol.

Anyways did a little more digging and this is what i have to expect, except he has a 3" block:

Im guessing some of you guys didnt read far enough. The truck is a 2wd, a lift doesn't belong on it anyway. Not trying to be mean just my opinion.

Its my own opinion you guys dont have to get butt hurt about it. Where im from where it actually snows and doesnt stay above 50* all year, we dont see the point of a 2wd pickup. Im not saying that a 2wd doesnt have its place but i just cant justify putting a grand into lifting a pickup thats just gonna spin its two back tires when the first snow comes. Also saying that im mad that you have a 2wd drive thats lifted is ridiculous. I wouldnt say mad is the word, Confused (that fits it) you could of bought a 4wd put a lift on it and you would have a monster in the mud or swamp or whatever you guys tear up down south. Again this is my own opinion. The thread starter was thinking about putting one on his truck and was wondering what people thought so i spoke my mind. Deal with it.

better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it? why spend money on gas / maintenance of a 4x4 sized truck to only be less capable than a stock jeep.

thats the way i look at it but to each his own. i dont mind this lifted 4x2 stuff. as ive said before theres probably people out there that can wheel a 4x2 farther than i cna get my 4x4.
