07 Screw Wait To Start Light Stays on

While driving into work this morning the "wait to start" light on the dash came on and stays on. Thirty minutes later I turned the truck off and restarted but the light came back on again. I can't seem to find this issue in any of the other threads so I am hoping someone out there may have an idea of what to do. I have an 07 F150 Screw 5.4L. Any help would be much appreciated!!

Isn't the "wait to start" light a diesel thing?

That means you need to wait to start that extra diesel engine you have.
Its not ready yet, or fully installed.

Why would a F-150 that has a gasser have a WTS light? thats like trying to change the spark plugs in a diesel.

Yea are you sure you posted in the right section? Only diesel engines have the little coil symbol or the "Wait to start" light....this is because the glow plugs are warming up so the engine can turnover easily. Gasoline engines do not have this because they use spark plugs.

you shouldnt need to wait for that to go off before you start it just put the key in and go. it will go off if there are no codes after its started

Ok... mystery solved! I installed a US Speedo stainless gauge overlay back in the spring and it was originally designed for the FX4... the DTC locations on the new gauge overlay do not match the ones on the OE. Fortunately, I kept the old one and compared the location of the "wait to start" and it matched the "low tire pressure" light on the OE gauge overlay. Go figure! Easy fix and I'm back on the road! Thanks for your replies!

So you have to wait to start it until there is air in the tires?
Who knew....
