There is a flattening agent that can be added to single stage paint or to clear coat, but its trial and error . You need to experiment with it a bit till you find the finish your looking for. I hope the quote of 20 grand was what your into the truck for , not the paint job. I've worked in auto body, and worked on quite a few extremelly involved custom show vehicles that included painted sheetmetal interiors with pro street cage setups .Show winning finishes throughout, and The paint and labor has never seen that dollar figure. I know it adds up quick. I put 30 grand into a frame up build on a Jeep cj 7 years ago but that included a new drivetrain and completely new body with very few parts reused.

i thought 1200 to PTM my bumpers was expensive... i can't imagine repainting the whole truck, although I would not mind going with the 09/10 Blue flame metallic

This is not disrespectful in anyway. Or putting you down at all... but...

From the picture it doesnt look too matte... Cant see that big of a difference. Its probably the camera. Assembled and completed itll all pull together nicely probably. And if you really spent $20,000 with a family discount then I wanna know what you do for a living hahahaha.. I cant wait to see it done thoughhhh!
