tbear, I decided to go with the new driveshaft from Driveshaft Specialist. I've had it a couple weeks. It was working well the first few times driving it. Now it is making a noise again. The noise goes away after a few miles. I don't know if it is because of the cold weather or because it wasn't greased properly or something else. Thanks for your posts.

Rambo, how's that driveshaft holding up? I blew apart the center bearing as well this past weekend and thinking of replacing with driveshaft specialists...

I'm sorry, I missed your last reply. Hope that noise wasn't "ex$pen$ive" .... Looking at their website, looks like quality work.

Update:

The noise went away shortly after.

The new driveshft from Driveshaft Specialist of Texas has been on my truck for almost 2 years now with no problems.

If you need one of these, here is the link for more info:

i would go to a local drive shaft shop that can build a new drive shaft with all new u-joints and carrier bearing or they may be able to repair your original one.
