Exactly what i thought. The interior looks a little dirty as well, but it's hard to tell with the small photos.

Well it's sitting in my driveway now. It's not perfect but it's a big upgrade from the 96. I have all the service records for it and the guy got the oil changed between 2500-3000, tranny serviced at 89,000 and some other things. It does need rear rotors and has a small hole in the exhaust which isn't that noticeable. Other than that I don't think I did too bad.

Although I about cried when I saw them put the sign in my old truck. It's gonna be awhile before I forget about it.

I'm going to get pics tomorrow if it's not raining.

I just went and filled it up with gas (had 3/4 of a tank) and put $30 in. $30 on the 96 filled it up from a 1/4 tank.

That 36 gallon tank will start to hurt if you pay too much attention to it. I find it easier to just not look at the pump.

Good luck with the new truck.

There are a few "known" issues on the 04's that can be taken care of before they happen. One off the top of my head that I fixed for free (cause I already had silicone) was the leaky third brake light. Just take is off and run some silicone around the seal and put it back on. There are others and Im sure people will chime in with some of the the others. Mine had the cam phasers, rear end, and about every other one. I have replaced lower ball joints already. I think I have had every known issue. I currently have 65K on the clock. I hope to heck im done for the next 100K!

Thanks guys! I really do like it and everyone else seems too also.

Didn't get any pics tonight. Went to my dads house to show the truck to him. Then I think I found out some bad news.

When the trucks warmed up (after driving around 40-45 mins) It has a chugging sound when at idle. I can't hear it in the truck but it's clear as day when outside of the truck. Is it the dreaded cam phaser issue? That's what I'm thinking it is.

Thats the one! and so it begins. I feel your pain. Did you get any warranty with it?

Ya I got a 2 year warranty. Would that be covered?

I'm not really that dissapointed in it, more dissapointed in myself really. When I first got tot he stealership I started it up and it didn't make any noise what so ever when it was cold. I never even thought to get out and listen to it when it was warm. Oh well I'm still like a kid at Christmas and lovin the truck!
