I would use either Piaa, Nokya bulbs or HID kit.

Were they just the normal Sylvania? I really like the Sylvania Silverstars. They have always had very good output, and they are whiter than the stock bulbs.

Silverstars are nice but one blue out pretty quick in my girls accord. Go for a silverstars ultra, I hear those are pretty good. And if you get HID's get the pure white ones, don't go blue or purple, way to fast and furious cars for me..

just my 2cents

The piaas are the whitest the Intense White Piaa bulbs are the whitest but are expensive about 100 for the pair but you get what you pay for, and since I am a cheap butt I am getting the $40 HID kit on ebay instead, HAHA!

I found the Nokya Cosmic White Pro Halogen Bulb 5000k Stage 2 for $40 a pair, the thing is any color temp K=kevlin between 4100-4500K is going to be white anything above it is going to have a bluish purpleish color and anything below will look yellowish, just keep that is mind when looking for bulbs. I am actually considering buying a set for heads and foglights. i will llet you know if I get them.
Oh by the way dont get anything higher than a 55w low and 65w high bulb or else you will burn up your harness.

I used the Silverstar's in mine. Better light output, not super bright, but better. I don't think you can get the Ultra's for the F150, however I did put the Ultra's in my Exp, much brighter than the Silverstars.

You aren't doing a HID upgrade. Just replacing the bulbs. I've always ditched the 55W bulbs in favor of 80/100W marked "off road use only". A little brighter. Nobody will know. Highway Patrol isn't going to tear your headlights off to inspect wattage on your bulb.
