So I have been getting code P0012 cam sensor reading retarded etc. I pulled the cam sensors to check them out and they were covered in thick gunk. And there was alot of it inside the front cover holes it goes into. I just got this truck about a month ago so I don't know the history of it.

Should there be oil flow behind the cover in that area?
