Which Leveling kit?
Hello all. I am new to owning a Ford and am looking at leveling kits. See a lot of different ones out there. Just wanted some personal opinions as to which one is the best one to go with. I have a 2004 Super Crew 4x4. I would like to be easily able to tuck a good set of tires under it as I spend a lot of time in the mountains. I am open to all thoughts and suggestions. Thanks

I bought the Autospring and had to cut down the bolts on my strut assembly 3/4" to make them fit . I called Autospring and questioned them about this and was told they fixed the problem on the new design my response was i order mine a less than a week ago and he had no answer. Long story short go with Hell bent it just looks more sturdy.

This is what I put on my truck about 2 years and 20,000 miles ago...

I went with the 3" kit because I run 325 70 17 BFG AT/TA's in the winter with no rubbing issues...
just 10 mpg issues!!!
I installed the front coil spacers myself with only a few borrowed tools from advance auto parts...large sockets...it was a lot easier because they bolt to the top of the coil assembly and I had the alignment shop install the extra leafs out back...like $200 with the alignment...
just remember to ask Fat Bob's what alignment specs they recomend
for your truck/tire/wheel package...
I am very happy with it...
have had no issues at all and the truck sits very level...
good luck

Rancho uses a strut based on their 90000 series shock with a revised lower spring perch that increases the compressed spring rate and raises the truck between 1 1/2" to 2". I have them on my truck and like the adjustability of the shock. I'd suggest staying conservative on the tire size because you really need gears to make it work properly. If you have 3.73s, 33" won't be too bad.

Go with the 2" AutoSpring. You can run up to a 35" tire with little or no trimming. I got the powder-coated kit and have been really happy with it for about 3 months now. I'm running 295/70/18 Terra Grapplers on my '05. Check out my pics if you want. The tires measure 33.75" on the truck.

Over a year ago I was told "Go with Bilstein 5100" and I ignored everyone due to cost and went with hell bent steal level kit for $69 bucks. Well I should have listened from the beginning and saved money and time. About 2 months ago I went with Bilstein 5100 all the way around and got rid of the spacer level kit and man oh man, what a difference.
Save your money and go with Bilstein 5100's!
