Autolite Spark Plugs
Does anyone know the difference between the Autolite HT1 and the HT15?? Besides the fact that the description online saying the HT15 is the OEM design and the HT1 is an alternative design?? And besides the difference which one is better, if at all. And would you guys go with the Autolite or another brand. Thanks in advance for your response! Have a good day!!!!!

OK, I know this thread is old, but it deserves a proper post. I can't believe how many people just blindly spit out, "Motorcraft." First, the Motorcraft plugs are actually built by Autolite and also sold under the Autolite name. So, if you buy Motorcraft, you're buying Autolite.
The original Autolite (and therefore Motorcraft) plug design is a two-piece design prone to breaking. If you reinstall the Motorcraft plugs or the original design Autolite plugs, you're just as likely to hae a plug break the next time you replace them.
The enhanced Autolite plug is just a double-platinum plug, but it's still the same two-piece outer shell that can break.
The only one-piece plug shell is the Champion plug. Refer to the December, 2010 issue of Four Wheeler magazine and read the article titled, The Ford Three-Valve Broken Spark Plug Blues. It's an excellent article explaining the steps you should take to change your OEM plugs if you decide to DIY. That's why the Champion is the best plug to use if you want to avoid breakage. I just called autolite to find out the difference between the HT1 and HT15 plugs myself, becuase they removed the HT1 from the application lists for my 2006 F150 and only recommend the HT15 now.
Autolite says the HT1 is a cooler plug, the HT15 his hotter.
