Help! Changed window regulator noticed water coming through window into door

So after waiting a week to get my window regulator and holding my window up with a piece of PVC, I finally got my new regulator installed today. However over the last few days during rain I noticed water was making it into the door panel through the window. I chaulked this up to the fact that there was no pressure on the window and figured once the regulator was installed all would be well again. Once I installed the regulator I ran the hose over the window and observed a decent amount of water still making it into the door panel. I tried searching but could not find anyone else with this issue. Is this normal for the door and the water just drains out, or is something not sealing properly as a result of my installation. I find it hard to believe that water is supposed to be gettin in there. Please help

a little water is normal it drains out the bottom of the door. now if the rubber weather stripping has major gaps and debris can colect in the door then you got probs

IIRC you can adjust the window towards the above mentioned weather stripping.

thanks for the replies. After messing with it for about 2 hrs. I got the amount of water reduced. I finally decided to spray my other windows and noticed water coming out of the door drains there as well. Wish I had checked that two hours earlier lol. Well hopefully this helps anyone else in the future that runs into the same issue.
