I got a 05 Lariat that is almost paid for and for some reason I need to change it up a bit. Well since Ive gotten were I dont like chrome I wanna make it look like an fx4. Im supposed to be trading my chrome surround and honeycomb grille for black h bar and white surround next week. Thats gonna be my first start, and just removed the 4x4 decals. Now were could I get some white front and rear bumpers? Thanks

 

eBay or craigslist. I just bought an OEM 08 paintable front bumper with the fog lights, brackets, and valance for $100

All of those have a plethora of bumper options. Would just need to get them primed and painted, and be good to go.

Just make sure that if you have an 04 / 05 truck (built before Aug 2005) you stick with 04 / 05 bumpers and if you have an 06 - 08 truck (built during / after Aug. 2005) that you stick with 06-08 bumpers. This goes for the front and the back.

 

Unless you buy the brackets with it?

 

Paint yours. An make sure you PITM the H grill it look completely different.

 

if you got all of the brackets, you can mount an 04/05 front on an 06-08 and vice versa. However, I do believe the plastic upper part of the bumper was changed between 05 and 06, may or may not have to replace that too if you want to put an 06-08 bumper on an 04/05 (or vice versa)

I am pretty sure rears are not compatible regardless of brackets, but check elsewhere to verify.

 

I would really love to go to 06 bumpers with round fog light holes but I would have to buy foglights then. Ok so Im gonna eventually get white bumpers, fx4 grille with white surround. Should I get some aftermarket wheels next and tinted tails?

 

You can also try LMC.com. They have everything you would need for the bumpers.

 

powdercoat your chrome, or why not line-x them white and do the lower where a two tone is in white also? i was looking at jesserohrs truck the other day and it came out flawless.
