WTH,,,horn honks when i hit interior lock/unlock

My 06 Screw did not do this. Just purchased an 04 FX4 (no key fob or manual with purchase) and when I hit the interior lock/unlock buttons the horn honks. I looked for external wires attached to horn, but nothing out of the normal. Help, tried search function,,nothing of the sort.

It has the external number pad on drivers door. Like I said, I have no key fob. What I did notice when I was looking the truck over is that it seems the doors have had some work done. Both the pass and drivers side have some sort of "goop" coming from the edges where it seems the handles might have been replaced before????? I'll get pics in a few days.

Any luck yet? Fords are notorious for SJB(Smart Junction Box) or known as a really expensive fuse box with lots of wires problems. Mine went kooky on my 98. Gauges stayed on all the time, no speedometer, no right turn signals, windows only worked with the heat on, and so much more. I took mine loose and let it dry out it works fine now.

Mine does it too. I have a small red led light under my dash which I assume is the previous owners attempt at an aftermarket alarm system. If you lock mine using the door switches from the interior it actually arms the stock alarm. So if you open the door from the interior the alarm goes off. I have not attempted to look at what they wired it into as I don't use the interior switches very often. It locks automatically when you start driving so meh, not worried about mine.

If you find a fix though I would be interested. My guess is its spliced somewhere in the box or the door system for the stock alarm.

Spoke with previous owner. He had truck at stealership due to pass side window motor replacement. For some reason, he did not have a code for the drivers side door and wanted them to program it while it was there. He told me that ever since the window regulator and door handles were removed it would honk when you push the lock/unlock button from the inside. Guess I'm just going to have to deal with it. Compass is still fubar and will probably have to replace or look into SJB problem. Last owner said compass was wrong ever since he had it as well.
