Nice truck. I need to do the same to my odometer, the PO was told by the dealer that the whole cluster needed replacing. He did not believe me when I told him it was just a bulb.

yeah the check engine light is for either a bad oxygen sensor or a crappy converter, yeah i was thinking about painting the headlights, might be my next project, thanks for the compliments.

yeah i called the dealer too and they said the same thing, that i was going to need to replace the whole cluster and it would cost 300 dollars, i was so pissed off by there ignorance, cause i was trying to explain to them that it was just a bulb and that i needed to no what bulb it took, so i got on f150online.com and looked it up and bing bang boom done in 10 minutes

Do they sell colored lights so that the instrument cluster isn't green? Can I change it to blue?

Thanks,
Andy

the bulbs are white/clear. the green is a background piece, i guess like a piece of stained glass. that is what u need to change. if u put a blue bulb in there im not sure what colour green and blue would make.

Umm, blue-green?

Green is made up of yellow and blue colors, so adding more blue just makes it a bluer-green. In order to make it a different color from green, you'd have to change the tint of the film, or just go with a clear/translucent clear and put in whatever color bulb you wanted.
