Cowl grille rubber pieces

Hi,
Just recently replaced the rotting rubber pieces at the ends of the cowl grill with some trimmed off pieces from an old rubber floor mat. Hooked them on with some small cotter pins.
Will see how long it lasts! Looks better than ugly rotted rubber though!
Tried to post a picture, but don't have enough posts to be able to.

You could always go with one of these. I don't have one so can't comment on it...just an option though http://www.amazon.com/Lund-25523-Sha...2007&carId=011

Had the same problem with mine, although the cowl faded so bad it turned light gray. Ordered the right and left side cowls and it came with the rubber end piece.

Guys - I just ordered these: http://cowlends.com/

Everybody who has this problem needs to order a set. They are damn near perfect, and I ordered them Tuesday, and got them Saturday (including Thanksgiving in between).

Great product, fast shipping, and only $20 for the PAIR.

I do not work for, or have any stake in this company. Just a satisfied customer that feels all of your pain. I found the link on another forum or thread here (can't remember)

That's the ticket. Somebody posted about those about three months ago and they were the big busy thread on all the F150 forums. I got them and have had them on for about six weeks now. They are a sort of soft plastic and install pretty easy. You won't find a better deal ; $20 versus $250+ for two new cowls.

I have had mine now for I am guessing about a year. The cowlends.com people really seem to have found a great fix to a very common problem.
