New Pictures - Need Help
First of all, I have to admit that I have been a very bad F150online member for a few months. I have been doing little things here and there to my truck lately and I have not informed you guys. Im sorry for that. However, I come to you today with the newest additions to the truck and also am asking for some help. I will get to the pictures shortly, since I know that you guys love pictures.
But...first you have to promise to help me with this question.
I have a BOYO VTL400 rear view camera. I would like to hook this up to my system so that I can have the video available on demand as well as when I put the truck into reverse. I have never had to wire anything before so if you could explain to me the details, or atleast point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.
First of all I no longer have the chrome bumper. I was hit by a guy back in April on my front end. Since I was able to get my buddy's shop to do the work, he put on a PTM bumper for me.

In May, my truck was broken into at work. Keep in mind that I am a HS teacher/coach and the thief robbed my truck while it was parked in the school parking lot. The only thing that they stole was my Kenwood DNX8120. It has since been replaced by a DNX9960. I also am sharing a picture of my new Iphone mount. It is the Mcup and it sits in my cup holder in the center console.

Lastly, I have added the Python 991 security and remote start system to help protect my baby from this point forward. The video below shows the control and remote start.

Can I have it on demand and also have it automatically come on when the truck is put in reverse?

Can anyone point me in the direction of a thread discussing this that has pictures and step by step directions? I have never done anything like this before and really want to know what to do before I get started.
I have posted some pictures of the camera and the wire in another thread if you want to help me there. - https://www.f150online.com/forums/mu...ml#post4312609
Thanks.

Thanks.
My Kenwood HU has a purple/white wire coming out of it labeled as the reverse sensor wire.
Can anyone tell me what wire I tap into inside the cab for this? Or do I have to run this wire to the back of the truck and tap into the reverse light in the tailight? Hoping there is a wire in the cab that I can tap into.

I also have a Kenwood, but the DNX6960. My camera is tied into the reverse on the right kick plate. I will look tonight at the wire I tapped into. I also wired the camera to 12v power. So, when I put the truck in reverse, the camera comes on or when I push the camera button on the HU, the camera will come on.
