HELP! brake light wire harness issue

Hello

This is for my 2005 FX4 f150 crew cab.

I am having issues with a wiring harness I purchased. I thought that it would be plug and play but apparently not. Here is my dilemma.

I recently sold my bed and all the wiring that goes along with it. I need a wiring harness that connects from my chassis wiring harness to the brake light bulb sockets. The ones I ordered from fordoemparts.net do not plug and play. The harness I ordered plug fine into my main chassis harness but do not plug into the bulb sockets. I was told by a sales guy from fordoemparts.net that I need to wire them into new pigtails. These pigtails are about 20 bux a piece

Is this correct?

Is there an easier way to go about this?

Is there a plug and play harness?

Thanks!

Is there a plug and play harness?

Thanks!
