Scott, You doing OK now? Nice truck-both. Many of us wonder how idiots manage to not see while driving. Last SEP I got hit head-on while passing under a flashing amber light at a lighted intersection at night. The woman claimed she didn't see me. It would seem that my headlights in her face were every bit as invisible as you red truck. Where are you? My folks live in Hermann.
I am sorry to hear that. The new truck is very nice.
I am very curious about the bolts on the drivers seat being sheared off. Can you give a little more detail. Seems those bolts should be Grade 5 at the least if not 8. If this is common, I may go switch mine with 8s.

Ya I am better now thanks.I still hurt I had 2 slip discs and 3 bulging discs in my neck. They had to fuse them together.I will hurt the rest of my life just trying to cope with that.
Damn bro getting hit dead on like that would really suck. You would think she would see the lights!!!Hope you are doing ok.
Ok the bolts that held the seat on the floor shearded off bro.All I know is my seat was kocked sideways near the steering wheel. The back of my seat was kocked side ways in my back seat. She hit me so hard that my gas line came apart. My truck quit running and I couldn't start it back up.I couldn't get it in park anyways, transmission was screwed. The bodyshop told me that my gas line came apart at the clip.My driveshaft broke in half too.
Your dakota looks good bro.
Here is one more pic of my new Dodge.

Sorry to learn about your accident. Sometimes, s$%t happens and there is nothing you can do. Although I thought your Ford was nice, I do like the new RAMs. I test drove one and was very impressed. Good luck with you new ride and keep us updated your your progress as well as how the RAM does......
Ah gotcha well it is still a nice truck.
Yes crap does happen.I was sooooo pissed when it did happen trust me.I had just put my brand new Moto Metal 958 wheels on it too.I was going to go with 35's until I lost it.
The car that hit me the front just exploded. The only thing I could see was the engine.Everything else was gone on the front. The people in it were ok.Her Boyfriend was knocked out and she has some scratches.
Thanks for the complements on my new Ride i will let you guys know how it does.It has 5k miles on it now and so far so good.I am installing BDS dual steering stabilizers on it in the morning.

great looking truck on both. Glad you were able to recover and still obtain a semi normal life. You should feel lucky that you did not have more severe injuries being hit that hard. Truck doesn't look like it was too bad given that it was hit so hard, but all that momentum and force on the human body is never good.
Sounds like the chain is only as strong as it's weakest links. I'd have someone look at those bolts as a lawsuit to Ford may be in order as that could be the cause of some of your injuries.

.Ya the truck looked worse on the inside and under it.The bed pushed into my cab like 2 inches or more. If you were to walk up to it then you would see what kinda damage it has.
You think I would have a case on that?
Well, not with out proof that the bolts used were sub-par. Bolts are hardened to different standards and are marked...

In my opinion, the bolts that hold the seat to the cab are vital in ensuring the other protective features (Seatbelts and airbags, crumple-zones) work appropriately. The fact that they were sheared off scares me. It could very well be a bad batch or mis marked bolts, Further more IMHO, I'm willing to bet that the bolts were made over-seas and that they would not uphold to a bolt of the same grade made of American steel.
(My father works with parts and tight tolerances, steel parts from China have the same grade yet are considerably weaker)
