Biggest tire?

What's the biggest tire I can get for my 2005 f150 xl supercab without a leveling kit? 17 inch rims and looking to get BFG AT...

2WD? I think 33" tires are your max

4WD? I think 35".

No, you need at least a 2-2.5" leveling kit in the front. The rear can accommodate as is. This assumes you are running factory wheels or aftermarket wheels with very similar specs.

You can run a 33 without a leveling kit on a 4x4. A good tire for that rim with no level would be a 285/70/17.

I have an 04 supercrew, i bought its with 285/70/17 that was an AT, now i put a 285/70/17 MTR on it and they rubbed so i had to step down. I was assuming that the more aggrassive tred may have caused the rubbing, it wasn't much but enough that i wanted to step down. I am not running any lift or level at all

One guy fit bfg 37x12.50x17 on his leveled 07? maybe? using his stock rims. A bfg AT is just a smiggin over 36"s. Just food for thought, I think it looks bada$$ myself. 35's look sweet too. You'd prolly def wanna regear if you went with 37's tho haha
