hey guys i bought my truck second hand. It has chrome mirror covers on it that are starting to look beat. I tried to remove them but it appears that they are glued onto the oem mirror backs. I would like to buy the black backs of the mirror but can't seem to find just that peice. I dont want to replace/ buy the whole mirror just for the one peice. Does anyone know where i can get these?? Thanks for your time.

 

They are probably just aftermarket stick on covers held in place with double sided tape. Just pry them off carefully making sure you don't gouge the mirror housing, then just use some goo-gone to get rid of any tape residue left behind.

Ford did offer a chrome mirror housing on XLTs and lariats with the chrome package but that did not start until the 07 models
