Its the window tracks that squeek. you can't replace the motor, you have to buy the whole window regulator assembly which is about 180$. so go wd-40 your tracks!

x2 I have had to replace 2 of them so far. Seem to be a common problem with fords. You have to get them through ford. Like said before its all one piece.

If you wait long enough, it will happen like mine did, you will be driving down the road and all of a sudden you will hear a bang, that means your window has fell out of the tracks, then you wont be able to get the window up.

I posted a Tech Article on this issue a couple of months ago which you can find in that section. Its an easy fix, just not a cheap one. You might be able to find a used one or an after market one for a little cheaper, but I went with the factory unit. Keep the one you take out for parts, especially pulleys, cable, drum and regulator if their in tact. This can save you allot in the future if you need a part, as you cannot buy parts, as stated before, but only whole regulator assemblies. Check out the tech article and good luck.

I just did my front driver's side a month ago and bought the regulator from rock auto. It was wired backwards but I just switched the wires around and it worked as it should. The new one is actually faster than the stock ones. I think I paid around $120 or $130? I'll have to look at the invoice. It's not the most fun money I've spent but not that bad of a job. The technical article on here is awesome! Have fun!

i got in my truck, closed the door and the window went down. key wasn't even in the ignition. i started the truck, went to put the window up, KABOOM!!!!!! $h1t went everywhere, i'm thinking WTF!!!!! talk about "deer in the headlight look" 34,000 miles, who would have thought. oh well, my total order was $118 (part & shipping), a couple of days waiting for the part and about 1 hour labor, it's back on the road. i checked with the local dealer here, they wanted MSRP $181 and wouldn't match Tasca's price. needless to say, i've got my part and they still have theirs on the shelf. lol Advance Auto can also get it for around $125, but i would have to wait 7 days because it would have to come directly from their supplier.
