Two f150's and some sand.... Build thread*****
Back from the dead lol,
First of all, Id like to explain the reason for the huge delay with updates and info.. The garage that is currently doing all the welds had poor management and blew almost all of the money we spend on the parts, labor for the trucks. So I have stepped in and decided to help the guys running the shop to help manage the rest of the build correctly instead of taking legal action.
Its unfortunate to see a proffessional shop like this one with all their hard work and proffesionalism (in builds, not management) go down under like they have. But they are not completely to blame. A project like this has never been done before any where in the region, and the market just isnt ready for it.
So Ill try to give some updates, and answer some of the questions, although both projects have been on a standstill for about 2 months collecting dust due to this delay..
As for an interior cage, since I notice alot of members asking.. as of now we have delayed the interior work on both trucks. Since the shop handling it has been having all these problems, we have been trying to minimize the rest of the work that is pending.
So new approach, the trucks will stay mostly stock in the interior, stock seats and floor mounted harnesses. (even though we have OMP seats, shifter, steering wheel... etc. This being for the FX4. it was supposed to be the all out race truck, and skeleton was supposed to be a luxury interior with a soundsysytem and all, well; since its a lariat
..
We are hoping for 15" still havent gotten all the parts on but I guess we'll see considering its never been done before... We have been going back and forth with brenthel (who said we couldnt do it) and now I noticed they are offering long travel kits for the f150 with 4wd lol... So maybe they believe we got it to work, well, errrmm in theory at least lol.
Def not dead, but slightly (well more than slight) delayed.
On to the UPDATES!!!!
Unfortunately I cant get the pics uploaded today, but I will try to do it over the weekend, but in the past 3 weeks we have been pushing the shop to at least getting the FX4 out.. And guess what, shes almost done!!!
The hood, lights, fenders, bed, cage, bumpstops, wheel carrier, leafs, shocks, jack, battery box, are done.... and the skid plate is almost done as well..
I know after all this delay I should at least get one pic in for you guys to see them coming to life, so ill work on it.
Again sorry for the delay, I promise ill make up for it with more pics and vids than my photobucket can handle. lol
