Faded Fender Flares

Are these covered under warranty? Mine look like they have white wax circles on them. I have the stock gray/black that come on the white FX4 2008.

If your still under the 3/36 bumper to bumper then they should be covered. Or you could just get a hold of a set of take off flares from a lariat, paint them to match (if they don't already) and swap them out for the stockers.

I had mine done that way, look here https://www.f150online.com/forums/me...rror-caps.html

You could also have the stockers sanded down and painted, that what this guy did

He is also the one who painted my flares and caps and the flares on his truck are my old fx4 flares after sanding and paint.

Mine are supposed to be dark grey but they have faded so bad I plan on painting them black with some dupicolor trim paint that I have and the spraying with clear coat.

Make sure you wash them good with some sort of degreaser/wax remover before paint. The krylon fusion paint is a popular choice and does not require any prep other than a good wash.
