Autospring leveling kit install question

I have been thinking about installing a 2” kit.

My question is can you install them by taking off the wheels and removing the 3 bolts on the upper part of the spring. Then lower the upper and lower control arms and the spring as one assembly. While the spring is still on the truck install the spacer and then raise everything back up.

To me this sound far easier then taking the spring out but can it be done?

There shouldn't be enough room to do that because the sway bar holds it up. Putting a leveling kit on can be a pain, since everything gets tighter from the extra length of the shock. Trust me I've had to do it a couple times now and its just easier to loosen everything up to create enough room and pull the coilover.
