Leveling kit size?
Leveling kit size?
I am looking to get a 2" leveling kit from a member here when I get paid, provided he still has it.
My question is how much is enough for my truck?
I measured it when I had it in the garage here at work, the front measures 34 1/4 and the rear measures 37 1/4 give or take a little for tire PSI.
That is from the ground to the center of the wheel well/fender.
a 2" would make the truck sit 36 1/4 and the rear 37 1/4 almost perfectly level, but still nose down slightly.
is that the best way to measure for it?
I have a 06 F-150 XLT 4X2, what size tire can I go up to with that level? I am running 245/70/17, could I (when money allows) run a 285-295 on the stock 17'?
Thanks all.

I checked all tire PSI, and they are within 1-2Psi of each other all around.
2" should make me level (I hope) and not nose high.
The install bay is level, and all the tires where almost even in PSI, Even if the 2" gives me 2 1/2 in the end thats still 36 3/4 and 37 1/4
Ill pass on that lowering thing, I want to go UP!

lol its different on every truck. my truck originally sat a .5" higher in the front when leveling kit first installed. now it sits 1" lower. it just settled. all trucks settle different.
Thanks guys! I Figure it will settle after a few months, but its still going to be closer to level than it is now.
At least I won't be so tail high, it makes backing up a PITA and its worse with a short hauler for the four wheeler when I move it.
