I use MC semi-syn 5w-20 and a MC filter, change interval of 5K miles. I can buy the 5qt jug, two extra single qts (the 04-up 5.4's take 7 qts) and the filter at wally world for about 22 bucks.

I go to my dealer and get MC5-20, and MC filter for $25. They change it in about 30 minutes, look over the truck and I am gone.

Thanks
Can't go wrong with the MC filter. I use it along with full synthetic oil and still change my oil every 3k. Some say it's a waste of money, but $30 every 3k and knowing my truck always has clean oil is worth it to me.

How do you get full synthetic at that price?

I've been using Motorcraft full synthetic, they don't sell it there. You can get the blended stuff there, though.

I just use Motorcraft oil and motorcraft filter. I figure that if its made for Ford to be used in Ford vehicles, you cant go wrong. Right?!

Same thing I do. The jug that has 5 qts. at Walmart is the same one that has 4 qts. at parts stores. Same price too.

Call me crazy, but this is what I do. Oil:M1 Ext. Performance Oil Filter:M1 Ext. Performance filter. Walmart doesnt sell the 5w-20 in the 5 quart jug in that particular oil so i have to buy by the quart ($7 a pop!!). At 5,000 miles I change the filter and add a quart of oil, and then change completely after a total of 10,000 miles.

The oil says that it is guaranteed for 15,000 but I dont let it go that long.

Only criticism is there's no need to change the M1 filter at 5k, it's good for well past 10k. I do the same thing - M1 EP and filter, change both at 10k.
