The electronic throttle engines don't have a IAC.

spark plugs, boots, fuel filter (guess i do have a new one), an assortment of hoses, gaskets, seals. all fluids changed amongst other things. This was done at 81,000 miles - codes P0305, P0306, P0307, P0308 thrown. Passed Injector flow test amonst others, failed compression b/c oil pump not pumping oil on top of motor...new motor needed.

This was 4,000 miles ago!
The only reason im hesitant to go back to the dealership is because overall, i had to pay around 2 grand, which isnt the best of situations for someone being laid off at the moment. And my truck was in the shop for 2 months!

Im trying to figure this out myself and pray that it isnt something bad...no my truck runs better than it did when it was on 4 cylinders, but still a lack of power! now the idle problem...i guess i just needed to vent, this is very frustrating.

So now im stuck with a problem, that throws NO codes, at random times...and ext. warranty slowly ticking away.....
that what i am going through ford has been prety good so far my after market warranty is from dodge ford is doing everything to get a new engine i will know by tues after the dodge adjuster goes in to ford to see for himself...i have a lot of money tied up in this truck and cant aford to have the warranty say no.....you can test it for yourself somewhere on the valve cover is were you have to hook up the pressure gage the engine needs 30 psi to run properly i am only getting 12 to 15 worse on hot day we have our fingers crossed!!!!!!!

I just talked to them and they will charge me $129.99 to run the pressure check and what ever other checks they do to the injectors but before I pay that I just ordered a Throttle Position Sensor from Rockauto so once that get's here I will thoroughly clean the TB and replace the sensor. If that doesn't work I'll send her into ford.

Also as a side note, ill take a peek at my Fuel Pump Driver while I'm installing my firestone air bags but that won't be for another 2 weeks as I have work which is killing me.

Having the exact same problem, only started today. Random low idling, hesitating on starts, and on acceleration it's noticeable as well. Luckily my spare tire is out so I'll be able to take a look in the morning.

Timely thread, although unfortunate that this problem isn't a recall by Ford.

It's not a recall because it's not a safety issue.

Question to everyone:

Does your throttle body when off the truck or on for that matter, sit a tad open as shown in this picture? Meaning the plate is not completely closed?

I got the throttle position sensor and I'm cleaning the throttle body now.
