New accessories suggestions for 2005 F150 4x4

Hey guys, do y'all think I should go with a 3" body lift or a bull bar with off road lights? I also want to take off the pin strip but am afraid to do so because the color could be different underneath. Does anybody have experience with this? Thanks!

I say body lift. Only bad thing is with the pin strip you are going to have to do the body lift perfect or you'll be able to tell it's off. Not that you wouldn't want to do it right in the first place but just a 1/4 off and you're going to see a difference.

I don't think you should have a problem with the pin striping. I have had my truck since '07 and my truck is an '05. One previous owner and only had it detailed twice, other than that it was taken care of normally with washes and such. Anyways, I removed my 4x4 stickers in early '09 and there was no color change underneath.

I just took my pin strip off about a month ago and my truck is a 05. I used a little wd-40 and credit card and buffed err up with some wax and polish and you cant even tell it was on there.

Body Lift / Pin Stripe

You could leave the pin stripes on while you do the body lift as kind of a reference. Then remove them.

I just recently removed my pin stripes and there was no paint fade, of course the truck is an '08 model.

I just left the truck in the sun all day then used my wifes old hair dryer and they came off perfectly.

On a side note, your truck looks great and is the right height in my opinion, plus I installed a PA 3" on my old 99 model and it was worse than doing a suspension lift. It really sucked.

Take the Pinstripes off. It's hard to see the color change on silver anyway. I used a hair dryer cuz I didn't have a heat gun and they peeled right off.

Also, as far as your list, I'd go for a programmer. ;-)

Just saying your tires look kind of small for adding 3" and a bull bar is a good choice, but the programmer will make it feel like a brand new truck.

Yeah, I've been thinking about a programmer also, what kind is the best in your opinion?

No prob removing stripes. They sell a striping removal tool at your local parts store that you put in a drill and off she comes. Takes me bout 15 minutes on a whole car/truck when I do it.
