I called a NTB here locally and they charge $279.92+tax for labor, so $300.00+tax for parts and labor is a hell of a deal..plugs alone are around $90.00. Out the door for me was $369.92 +tax.. Ford wants $404.51 and $96 a plug if any break. Sorry but i dont like the feeling of not knowing what something is going to cost. I want to know break or no break its going to cost X amount. I live in the DFW area, anyone who wants to do a plug change for $300 even for parts and labor PM me

I called and rechecked the price at a NTB in LaPorte. Labor was $224 and like $10 a plug. So I may order mine from rockauto.com for $6.92 apiece and be out the door at under $300

Personally, I'd be a tad nervous about taking one of these trucks to a non-dealer shop for plug work. I suspect the "bargain price" you are being quoted has much to do with the fact that they don't really know what they're potentially in for. Not saying that a good local mechanic can't do the work, but I like the fact that the dealers work on these specific vehicles day-in-and-day-out......

I can't justify the quoted price of $900 from my dealership and honestly do not have the time to set aside a day to do this and hope I don't mess anything up
