Took them to have them powder coated black. Talk about a PITA to remove!! On top of that once I got the 1000 bolts out and separated I tripped over the tub and mixed them all up... Looks like reinstall will be twice as hard.

 

Bummer to hear. How many main bolts was it to remove the bumper? ( excluding fog lamps and valance bolts ). What types of wrenches and sockets needed?

I'll take detailed pictures putting it back on. i was in a rush to get it to the coaters in time.

 

Im with Stealth , as long as you have an extra set of hands its really not bad.

From what i remember there were mayb 8 bolts. 4 main ones in the middle then 2 on the outside past the fog lights on each side.

Honestly i would say its more of a pain to take off the valence and the fog lamps

 

i guess i'll find out when i take mine of to have it sanded and painted

 

I should get mine back any time now from the powder coaters. I'll make sure to go into great detail. If I remember correctly I used a 8, 10 and 13 mm socket. Honestly I think most of the bolts were in the valance.

 

If bolt placement is hard for you then use a piece of cardboard and poke them in and label them. Or baggies and a felt marker.
Just my thought! Aint hind sight a great thing.

 

That saved my *** in my first engine build. I would have had a few bolts that I would have had no idea where they went. I still use this a lot for more detailed jobs.

 

I usually just throw the left overs down the intake and let them find their own way home!!! ha ha ha

 

if i remember its mostly size 8 and 10 sockets but some 12 and 15
it took me maybe 15 to 20 min on my own
its pretty straight forward
