Transmission Temp Probe

Does anyone have any pictures and the required pieces needed to make it work? I have the bully dog watchdog and it doesnt have an option for tranny temp. BUT, you can just use one of the EGT inputs as the tranny temp. So I just need to figure out where to put it. I know you put it in the line directly before the cooler, but does anyone have any pics that can show me exactly what I need to do.

P.S. I searched but most of the threads contain with pictures contain pics to old albums and the links are broken.

Okay I have another question. What are the different types of actual probes. The system is designed to plug in a EGT probe. Are the connectors that connect to the gauge any different?

This is the one for the EGT, but im assuming that it will not work for the transmission temp.

No that pyro isn't made for tranny temp. It's range is for exhaust temperatures hotter than what your transmission would ever run. I don't see why your bully dog doesn't have a tranny temp. There is alredy one on your truck. You can view it through your odometer or message centre even

Well I just read your manual on bully dog's website. The feature of tranny temp is not listed which is bs. Try going throuh your list of guages again, checking for an update to see if they realized there lack of this feature or email them to ask what you should do. But for the price why wire it into your exhaust gas temperature?

Bullydog doesnt offer it as an option for some reason. Ive already called and asked. But I only paid 125 for the bully dog, lol, so its not that big of a deal. I breifly asked them if it was possible to monitor the tranny temp through the pryro gauge, and he said yes because they did it to a dodge ram that way. I just dont know what type of sensor I need to get that plugs into it. I know where it goes in the truck now, I just dont know what type of actual sensor to get.

Okay I think I figured it out. I need to get one of These for the watchdog to be able to add a pyro gauge.

Now I just need to add a tranny probe instead of the EGT probe. It has to have the two wires. Red/yellow.

You should read directions for how to install a sensor and guage

No I understand how. I just dont know what to type to look for a tranny gauge that would have those two wires coming off of it. Most tranny gauges only have a common ground and the wire that heads back to the gauges. BUT, I need something that has two wires coming from the tranny, back to that little box.
