EDGE programmer was cause my IWE problem

hey guys! first post by the way, sorry its so long, but i think a pretty good one! after weeks of research and chasing lines and swapping out solenoids i finally have fixed my rattling and squelling i the front end!! after learning about the initial vaccum when the motor starts and check valves, yatta yatta, i realized my idle was just too low to produce enough vaccum to hold the truck in 2 wheel drive. i simply turned the idle up and tada! problem was solved. just another thing to check out if you guys are havin problems!

Weird but glad you got it fixed. This should be good info for members that are having problems and also have an edge. Hopefully save them some money

It is one of the adjustments you can do with the Edge/Gryphon.

Sounds like the EDGE programmer was also the easy solution to the problem.

What was your idle before and after you made the change on the Edge?

it should show 0. mine does. and then you just go up or down in increments of 5.

it was idling around 600-650, i never messed with the idle because it only went up to 300. i thought to myself that that was way too low. i said well maybe, just maybe its adding 300, and sure enought it did..she purrs right around 950-975 now!

950 idle seems a little high to me

Edge recommends 700 to 1000. I set mine at about 800, then when I got the custom tunes, they are at 750 to 800.
