Funny Gas Gauge

It might just be horrible gas mileage, but IDK. For instance today when I left work I had a half a tank exactly. I went 5 miles down the road and was in the drive through line when i looked down and lost a 1/8 tank. Its been doing this for the last few months. Anybody else have this happen?

were you parked on an incline?

the 09-10's are having an issue with this, usually the tank reads empty when you actually have gas....not sure anyone else?

No I was parked flat at work and then flat again in the drive through. IDK. It could be the fact that my mpg on the read out is at 9.5mpg . I really need to get my spark plugs changed.

I know its prob due the shape of the tank but from a 1/2 - 1/4 tank seems like that needle drops twice as fast than it does from full to 1/2 and from 1/4 to Empty.

What was the temp outside? I know here in AZ when a truck sits out in the heat it seems that the tank pressurizes and it will show more than what it has for the first few miles or so.

It gets pretty hot here in the summer (upper 90's low 100's at times), but I have not noticed that yet. I am sure it gets hotter there, but we have that damn humidity that makes it feel twice as hot as it really is.
