Well, at the advice of a member here, I ordered a grill emblem from them.

It was for a 04-08 F-150 XLT.

here is the part I ordered.
http://www.tascaparts.com/partlocato...=5&catalogid=2

One day before it shipped I called and asked (as I had ordered it three days ago.) why it had not shipped yet, and also to make sure it was the correct part.
(according to that ^ it was)

So it was paid for and on order three day before it ever shipped, and I called and was told that it would be the correct part.

The part was received at my place of work on Monday, but I was not in the shop, so today I got the emblem.

I removed my old emblem and went to place the new one on the truck.

it turns out I was sent a tiny emblem, (E7TZ-8213-BB) and i need the large emblem.

Now according to the catalog I ordered the part from that should be a EXACT match.
the illustration clearly shows 04-06 F-150 with the honeycomb grill like I have.

So I called and asked them what could I do?

I was told that if I wanted a refund I would have to pay return shipping, and then shipping for the new one, and the price difference on the new part!

WTF?

A brand new emblem at the ford dealer is $43+ tax, and they want me to pay $10 return shipping and $14 shipping for the new emblem? thats half the cost of a emblem from the dealer, then they want $33 for the correct emblem.

I was told that for my year model and make of truck there is three emblems.

There is no way according to the illustration below that I ordered the wrong emblem, no way.

that clearly shows a 04-06 honeycomb grill and emblem. there is only ONE (AFAIK) emblem size for a 04-06 honeycomb grill emblem size.

The emblem I was sent fits a 97-03 ford truck according to the local ford dealer.

Most of the illustrations on any Ford website like that are for illustration purposes only and not the exact part. It's better to order by the part number.

well, anyway I called them back a fourth time, I had already called the local ford dealer.

Tasca admitted to me that the catalog was wrong, and that the wrong part was sent, they are going to pay shipping for the new correct (I hope) part and shipping for the first one back.

Thats unfortunate, but $19.59 for a $43.00 part would have raised a red flag with me right off the bat.. There prices are good but not that GOOD.

I always call and speak to them personally, describe my part, in your case a "9 inch emblem" ask for the part # then i would have ordered it online and ill bet you would have gotten the correct one.

I buy almost everything i need from Tasca, there the best. They have great service, fast shipping and they never did me wrong or sent the wrong part. Not to mention there a sight sponser and always have sales for us and give us 10% discounts. Try that at your local stealership..

Guys,

This kinda happened to me. There must be some problem with their website. I got a tiny emblem instead of the one I needed for my grill. Called them up, explained the situation and they basically told me that they would ship the right one along with a return label for the incorrect part. I've never had any other problems just ordering by the website/pictures

Good overall service! I've been a customer for a while and I tell everyone I know about them.

I have nothing but the biggest props for Tasca and Domenic. I know I can be a pain but we trade several emails confirming the part, cost and availability and he/they have never failed me. I will continue to order my dealership items from them.

I am glad to hear that there was a happy ending to your story.
