Swapping Climate Control Module w/Defrost

Couldn't decide if this was an electrical question or an 04-08 question.

Hopefully this wont be too long of a question, it will be 2 parts. I have an 05 FX4 that does not have defrost, TCS or a reverse parking switch. Just bought 08( I think) FX4 trim piece climate control switches w/ defrost. It also has a TCS switch and Reverse Parking switch on either side of the cig lighter.

Here are the part numbers listed on the climate control(kinda confusing for me)

4L3H-19808-BH (dtd 11/15/07)-from this date is why I think for an 08

7L34-19980-BA / 7LBA135418

So here are my questions.
Can I just swap them out? Will the plugs be the same?
Is my truck prewired for defrost?
Since the new controller has defrost and I plan on adding 09-10 Tow mirrors. I know it will require some wiring but will it work for them?

Part Two-The Switches

I have neither the TCS or parking sensor options.
I am not sure if TCS was an option in 05 but I think the parking sensor was. Would my truck be prewired for at least the sensor so I can send power to a relay instead of the sensor?
I would like to use them for my Aux lights to keep a stock appearence. I have a Hella grill with lights and KC daylighters(Thanks Lush!). I would like the switches to work with the dash lighting(not sure if are even supposed to light up). TCS is a 6 pin switch and the Parking is a 5 pin.

Thanks for any input.

Check with Tasca ford parts. I think Tasca said I needed a different fuse box as the defrost is not on our trucks if they were not equipped with it.

Thanks sbchris. Did you want to add tow mirrors w/defrost also?

Looking at some pics of dashs, I think the new piece is for an 07. It has all ***** and no LEDs. Unless the button control/LED read-out ones are for a specific models(HD,KR?). Depending on which part numbers one starts with 7 and one with 4, I am leaning towards its for an 07. The manufacture date threw me off but I realized it was never installed and had been sitting on a parts shelf.

That was my plan as I frequent tahoe a good amount. It is a real pain in the rear to get my mirrors visible sometimes after they freeze over.

the control unit itself should just plug in, as far as your harness having the wiring to everything else i doubt it. everything can be added though or the tcs switch modified to work with some wiring diagrams and a relay placed somewhere else.

Thanks City of Champs-Just to make sure I understand. The plugs the same, but the defrost wire/pin just wont be on my harness. Or is it there but has the wrong fuse box like sbchris stated.

I figured I could get the switches working, I just dont know what pin does what. I am working on getting the plugs w/wires to make it easier.

This should be everything you need to know, but just say if you got some more questions

Thanks-That link is on the money! I didnt find it on the search. I did read thru installing Tow mirrors which mentioned this and gave me the idea but no details like your write up.
Didn't originally plan on doing it, I bought the trim piece for the TCS/Parking switches and it just happen to have the climate controls w/defrost with it. It came with an ash tray also, so I can mod that for my edge. Now I gotta save up for the tow mirrors and fuse box.
Just gotta crack the code on those switches.

I'm assuming switching out a fuse box would be a huge under taking wire by wire. I would make my own circuit outside, with an online fuse and relay mounted wherever.
