So I Took Them Off

Well after having a few guys tell me to just take my steps off instead of painting or line-Xing them. So this afternoon I decided to take them off and I am not hating them, but I want to hear what you guys think.

Before:

After:

So what do y'all think?

Leave them off for now, put them back on when you get the XDs and M/Ts. Your truck doesn't look too bad without them. Mine looked awful.
https://www.f150online.com/forums/me...ing-boards.jpg. But maybe my stock wheels contributed to the ugly.

Also, when did you Harley your tails?

Yeah your's did look kinda weird without them on Why do you say put them back on when I get the wheels? I want to line x them so they are not so slippery when they are wet, it's like stepping on a bar of soap

Now that they are off you can do what you want to them - then put them back on!

With M/Ts you will want protection against paint damage, but the thin FX4s may not offer enough protection. I know my running boards have saved my paint numerous times from stone, even on pavement. Plus I think it would look better. Especially if you Line-X them black. Just an opinion. Black wheels, black tires, black boards.

I like them off better but if you need them then line x them as thats a problem I have with mine. I agree with Darren that if you get some bigger tires than to put them back on. My girlfriend is only 5'3" so I have to leave my running boards on.
