You might want to follow that lead from the controller back to where you tapped into the compressor clutch circuit. If there is no break or bad connection, the controller is likely at fault. The probes have nothing to do with turning a fan on unless it's related to set point from radiator heat.
both fans need to be on at 100% at idle with the AC on. I think we all already know that tho.
Another problem with running into the compressor, is your compressor will cycle, but you want the fans to be on all the time.
Plus once you get up above 40mph you dont need the fans at all and if they are running you will burn up the fan motor overtime from the air forcing into the fan with the motor engaged, will burn the clutch and brushes up

Got it figured out, bad controller. Spoke to Glenn at Troyer and a new controller is on the way. I was 2 weeks away from being out of warranty, so this one is covered and hopefully it won't happen again.
