Bad Night

So I work at the bowling alley, am only 18 yrs old. Had to work till 1:30am and closed. I walked out front to my truck that was parked RIGHT in front of the main entrance door to find my left rear window smashed in completely....my $150 Oakleys were stolen but they left my ipod, radar detector, gps system, ps3 game/controller, about $700 worth of stuff. WELL....I was pissed cus now I had to call mom and dad, wake them up and call the cops to report this. Thankfully the cops were pretty cool and not in a pissy mood, they found blood drops around my truck so that DEFINITELY helps...oh it gets better, the guy who broke into my truck got into my first aid kit and helped himself to some band-aids hahahahahahahaha. That made me laugh when the forensics lady told me lol. Anyways so now I can't drive my truck because I have no window (( so we have to get that fixed and now I don't have my Oakleys...ehh I can live without em. I'll have pics up later when I get home from work.

I loathe thieves...

Sorry about your luck. I hope the authorities find the crooks with the evidence left behind.

Does your work have security cameras close to the entrance?

Glad I haven't had to deal with any window smash and grab punks for over 2 decades. My car was broken into when I was 17, at the movie theater. Learned a lot that day.

No unfortunately there isn't any security cameras....my luck. Yea I learned my lesson and am going to be taking all my valuables out at night every day, that way next time it may only be a broken window or nothing at all.

Yes, that's what I learned. Keep your stuff out of sight, out of mind. I suppose that lesson I learned when I was 17 is why I bought a double din detachable face JVC 7" touchscreen at age 39. You never forget.

Yeah time for the shop vac. I hate when the broken glass gets in the door.

I was driving down the freeway once with my window 1/3 of the way down in my 91 Probe GT and the driver's side window spontaneously broke for no reason. It sounded like a gun went off in my ear. The tint held the glass together as the entire broken window fell into the door. I had to take the door panel off to clean the mess.

It was not spontaneous, it was a probe. My sisters first car. POS but was reliable for point A to point B.

Sorry about your Oakleys. Will insurance replace those?

I still have the car. It was never a POS. It's a 196,000 mile driveway fixture now though. :o

dang stealth that sucks! I can't imagine lol! And I live in Ocala area, I'm tempted not to drive my truck to work now...but that won't happen haha. We haven't contacted the insurance company YET, but they SHOULD cover the window and the oakleys thank god! If not then I'll be raising some **ll
Gcart: I had no idea that they made those, I'm definitely going to look into them....fortunately they didn't take anything out of my middle console(ipod/gps/radar detector..etc) but next time if it happens, I may not be AS lucky so I will look into that as soon as possible.
