Did I get scammed?

https://www.f150online.com/forums/pa...e-adapter.html

I bought this shaker 500 HU from the member "Brandon Miller" on Jan 28 and still have not rec'd it. At the same time he sold a PIE and somebody else bought it. I don't know who the other member was,but wondered if they see this they can tell me if they ever got it? I have emailed and pm'd him a few times and get response like he checked the tracking number and its still in customs. (I live in Canada) Any emails I send asking for tracking info have not been answer. Any help would be great! Thanks guys/gals

Man that sucks I got bamboozled once but it was my own fault, I sold a 3in PA body lift for a hundred bucks because I thought that was what I paid for it but after I sent it out I seen I had gave 200 bucks when I found the receipt, I let crums have an awesome deal on here lol... I was feeling like a real jackass, but he paid me very promptly and I needed money, plus it looks great on his truck so we both were happy. Hope u get a response soon dude maybe something happened serious since he hasn't been online. See if anyone knows him personally on here. Never expect the worse, hey high hopes!

If you used paypal make a complaint. They are pretty decent about taking care of it.

Hopefully he did.

Man, sorry about your luck saleen. That really does suck. I know it's no solace, but at least it wasn't too high an amount of money you're out of.

Maybe it's held up in customs?

Unfortunately.....I gave the guy the benefit of the doubt and by the time I try too much time had passed that they wouldn't do anything. All together it was $70,which isn't too bad. I had been keeping an eye out for rims & tires on here, but I am a little gun shy on that now.

hey man, sucks to hear that you still haven't gotten it yet...

And I'm not trying to defend the other guy.. but I ship 100's of product daily that we ship via USPS, and I know they don't offer tracking numbers for international (US to Canada or elsewhere) but I've had a couple packages that will get held up in customs for 3-4 weeks. I'm not sure why it happens that way or really a way around it... Then after it is held then it will get returned back me. Actually had a shipment go to Australia that was returned (after 4 months) because it was held in customs and it was denied or something.. can't really remember...

I don't know if that ease's your mind SOME... but after this long he should have refunded your money or something.

And yeah PayPal only offers protection for 60 days.

My bet is that USPS screwed up. Most "scammers" avoid Paypal entirely.

I ordered a trailer hitch cover in early December of '09 and waited for a couple weeks. Item didn't show up so I contacted the seller and he sent another one out the same day. I received the second one a couple days later just in time for Christmas. Guess what showed up at my doorstep LAST WEEK (4 months later)...... yep you guessed it!

Everything turned out ok. Brandon sent me a refund and even told me to keep it if it ever shows for my trouble! I hope he is able to get his money on the shipping insurance. Thanks everyone for your input.

No one's fault on this whole ordeal except mine. I've been in and out of the country for work and kinda lost track of this whole thing. USPS still tells me the radio is in customs and because of that I can't do anything on claiming insurance on it. But yes I did refund everything back to Jay. Shouldn't have gotten this far but again like I said I just lost track of it and forgot.
