E brake light
E brake light
anyone have any issues with the ebrake still saying its on after you release it? ive lubes all the areas where the bare wire pulls into the shethed parts on the e brake system but still does it. i relase my e brake and then i have to manualy pull my e brake pedal upwards maybe like a half inch or w.e for it to turn the light off. any adjustments u can make or whatever to make this thing spring back up all the way again?
When my stuck, the light didn't stay on, do you any rearend vibration on the highway?

no rearend vibration what so ever. the ebrake is completely off. its just doesnt pull all the way up to the switch to turn that e brake light off on my cluster. u can see the wire conected to it and when u lift up on the pedal to make the light turn off the cable conected the pedal to it doesnt make any movement at all. its almost like the spring or something is worn out that pulls my pedal all the way up....
yeah mine does that too, but why? it never used to do this it would just slam right up and hit the switch to turn off the e-brake indicator. now its like it doesnt have as much pull when u release it as it used to.
found the culprit of my E brake pedal not pulling back all the way as it should and my ebrake light staying on. 1.) there is a switch the pedal has to hit to turn off the indicator light which most the time it doesnt spring back enough to close that switch. also i noticed alot of slack in my cable and i thought it was weird the cable doesnt have any points where u can adjust the cable tightness where *** my father dodge ram and GMC both have.
but i noticed the cause of this was my passanger side ebrake was only going half way back to being completely off. i was able to lightly tap it with a hammer to turn the ebrake completly off and then the cable was then tight....so i probly have that rusted ebrake problem on that side.
i have never taken a rotor off so my question is if there is any specific way to take this off and put it back on? any torque ratings or anything?

I don't know any torque specs, but you have to take the wheel off, then the rotor/drum assembly. https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...ke-repair.html
