It's Motorcraft 75w140 full synthetic. It's not critical to use only that brand.

I bought the MC 75w140 for the rear end at my Ford dealer as well as the friction modifier. Be sure to use the friction modifier if you have limited slip rear end.

If you're 4wd, the front you can use 75w90 or 80w90 synthetic.

If you have aftermarket gears, limited slip, or locker, follow the aftermarket manufacturer's recommendation.

Note that synthetic is required in the rear, not required in the front, but you may use synthetic in the front.

I also have the True-Track in my 07 w/Mag-Hytec cover. I am currently running AMSOIL 75-140 Syn with no problems, but I think I will change it out and replace it with LUCUS 85W-140 non syn gear oil as recommended from Eaton/Detroit. You will need 5 qts with the new cover installed. Brings the level right in the middle of the dipstick.

 

Eaton recommends standard NON synthetic 80W90 - and correct, NO additive.

I'd advise you get the RP out of there and put what Eaton recommends in it.
