My comments (and opinions) below, items in hours are direct from the service manual, minutes are my estimates. A lot of this stuff is fluff to make money off of you.

Replace spark plugs with no additional cost on any breaking. - Needed $250-400 is average
Transmission oil change with new filter - 1.2 hours labor + $? fluid and filter
Transfer case oil change. - 0.5 hours labor + $? fluid
Fuel system cleanse from the throttle body to the injectors with new fuel filter. - 0.8 hours labor for the filter + $~10 parts, "cleanse" is BS, just Seafoam or similiar would do the same thing for <$15.
New PCV valve. - PCV is not servicable on our 5.4 3v
Radiator flush - 0.5 hours labor for drain and fill + ~$20 in fluid
Check brakes - 1 minute labor while the wheels are off
Cabin air filter replacement. - No cabin air filters (at least not on 06)
Service the battery. (this means either nothing or add an ounce of water) 1 minute of labor
Tire rotation - ~$20 Labor is standard
Oil change with filter - ~$30 (Parts and labor)
Air filter - ~$10 Parts - 1 minute of labor

Grand Total: $ 1084 - a lot more than it should

tranny fluid is not required

sounds like they are charging about $800 for the sparkplug change...and then padding another $300 for the other stuff. all of your other stuff on the list is really cheap to accomplish.

What you really need done...assuming at 100,000 miles:
Plug Change
Fuel Filter
T-case fluid change
Air Filter
Differential fluid
Clean MAF/Throttle Body
Rotate Tires

anything else is not needed, or fluff.

it may be the right pricing in your area of the country...out here, I'd be lucky to only pay $1,100 for that same service. But then again, Hawaii is 2nd in the Nation for Cost of living behind the San Diego area.

If I were back home in Texas, I could reasonably expect about $500-600 for that same service list

I think Tylus and I were pointing out that there was a lot of unneccesary fluff in the services list that the OP doesn't really need.

Sounds about right for a dealer. In real life, about 40% high. My mother just paid $450 for some stuff at the dealer. Bless her heart, I wish I could be with her all the time to help her with decisions about stuff she paid for.

This was the lowest price here in Canada, Alberta, Edmonton. Went as HIGH as 1800. So PCV not servicable? What do you mean?

You only change it with the valve cover, here's from the motorcraft website:
PCV Valve 5.4L 3V V8 ; Only Serviced With Valve Cover Asy

Here's where the part number should be from the service manual:

Parts Information OEM Part # Price

Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve

PCV Valve

Included With Valve Cover

wacki- where did you get your tune up qoute from? im at 55k kms on my 08 fx4 and wondering if i shouldget a complete tune up! apparently ford reccommends plug change
every 30k km and tranny flush every 50k km. sounds a lil early to me.
the qouted me $1200 for plug change and tranny flush and extra hr labor for every plug that breaks!!??,for that price i think i will just do it myself,i figure i could get amsoil synthetic atf and wix tranny filter along with motocrap plugs for under $200 bucks
good idea or not????

read your owners manual.

Plugs are 100,000 miles (or 160,000 km). Tranny fluid is called "lifetime" fluid and isn't required to be changed unless the truck is used for severe duty applications

lifetime fluid i was under the impression that lubricants break down over time even in normal service applications,do they not? and the filter can only filter so much until it is fully impregnated. guess not
